Shrimp Shack in Saint Helena Island

This place absolutely lived up to the hype. Old school fried seafood. The shrimp sandwich is totally on point. Love this place. Can get crowded at lunch. Definitely hit this place if you are anywhere around.

We loved the shrimp burgers and coleslaw! Great local spot. My grandparents enjoyed sitting outside in the screened in gazebo. We will be back next time we're in town!

Best seafood around. Been going here for decades and the kids like it’s just as much as we did when we were their age. Definitely the place for lunch or dinner any time you’re on this side of town.

Literally the best Shrimp burger ever!!!! Open 11-2pm it's faster if you call ahead with your order then pick up. The line can get really long.

So I'm from California and had no idea what a shrimp burger was but I have to agree with the reviewers here.... The thing is SOLID. Highly recommended! I was worried it would be a patty of shrimp paste all mooshy and gross but it was delicious chunks of fresh shrimp deep fried to perfection dressed only in tartar sauce. Also recommend you call in your order to avoid the dreaded COVID line. :) It does get busy there.

The food was good and the prices were on point. Our wait was only about 10 minutes even though they were slammed. Get there earlier than 3p closing time. They shut and lock the doors for "last call" at 2:30p. I would definitely visit again when in the area!

Always great. Shrimp burgers are the way to go. Onion rings are good. Off season hours can be a pain. If youre passing by make sure you stop...you'll be sorry you didn't.

Have you ever had a shrimp burger? If not you are missing out. The food here was so fresh as it was.caught by their own fishing boats and brought in daily. My look like a dive but believe me it is the only spot the locals visit to eat and it is packed for lunch everyday.

This place is an absolute staple and essence of the Low Country. Its a must try for visitors.
